The Cowichan 0-6 Committee is a diverse group of community members and service providers who meet regularly to share information and discuss ways to work together to make the Cowichan Valley a better place for children and families. Through our efforts, services have been coordinated and issues faced by families have been brought to the attention of the community. We were also successful in bringing a three-year Understanding the Early Years project to our community to assist with improving access to information, community development and strategic planning.
If you would like more information about the Cowichan 0 - 6 Committee, or would like to join our email list, please contact our Chair, Maureen Gallinger (748-8281). Anyone is welcome to attend meetings which are held the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the Cowichan Branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library.
We would like to thank Volunteer Cowichan for sponsoring Understanding the Early Years Cowichan and hosting this Web site for our community.
Success By 6 is a key community partner dedicated to ensuring that children aged 0 - 6 have access to programs that support healthy growth and development. We would like to thank them for providing the resources necessary to host meetings and bring our community together.
